Q: What is CIMC?
A: CIMC is a division of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (CareerTech). Our primary function has always been to develop quality, competency-based instructional products and services for career and technology education. This mission is fundamental in the belief that quality, industry-endorsed curriculum and related instructional materials are essential to quality occupational education programs in Oklahoma and the nation.
CIMC has customers in all 50 states and around the world. High school programs, area technology centers, junior and community colleges, proprietary schools, and government agencies are current users of CIMC products. Business and industry customers are also learning of the training and cost advantages of using CIMC instructional systems. Several industry groups and trade associations have participated in the development of CIMC products and services.
Q: Help! I can't access your online catalog!
A: If you are trying to get to the CIMC online catalog using an old bookmark that went directly to the catalog, you must update your bookmark. You will always be able to access the catalog through our catalog "gateway" page.
Q: Do you still carry Duty/Task lists?
A: Duty/Task lists, which are now known as Skills Standards, are free and can be downloaded from the CareerTech Testing Division's website.
Q: How can I order materials or get a copy of your catalog?
A: You can order online 24 hours a day, or give us a call. Our toll-free (U.S. only) customer service number is 800.654.4502. Customer service hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Central Time. You may also fax an order to 405.743.5154 (a form is available in our catalog or online) or send an e-mail to our customer service department. Our catalog is available online.
Q: I picked up a booklet called Welcome to the Web at your booth. How can I get more copies?
A: You can purchase the latest edition of Welcome to the Web (or our newest update, Best of the Web) through our Customer Service department. Ask for item TA 9214.
Q: Is the book about the history of CareerTech still available?
A: Yes, Learning to Earn is still available through our customer service department. We also have a discussion guide, "Major Milestones of Career and Technology Education in Oklahoma," that provides a concise view of the big picture, presenting the history of Career and Technology Education in the context of world history. Download a free copy of this discussion guide to use alone, or in conjunction with Learning to Earn.
Q: How can I find out when a particular product will be available?

Q: Can I reproduce your materials?
A: Only with permission. All CIMC materials are protected by copyright, which means you cannot copy our materials in whole or in part - other than limited portions according to fair use policies - without our permission (Nolo Press has a good explanation of fair use and suggested guidelines). Some components of our curriculum (such as handouts and tests) state that they may be copied for student use. You may make as many copies of those pages as necessary. Please note that this does not give you permission to take the content from those pages and put it in a different form, or to copy any pages that do not have this statement. Q: Are free samples available?
A: Yes! We offer PDF samples of many of our products. Visit our New Products page or our pages for specific career areas. Because we are an agency of state government, we cannot afford to provide free or preview copies of complete curriculum titles.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Printed materials that do not meet your needs may be authorized for return if they are returned within 90 days of purchase and are in resalable condition (no torn, bent or missing pages; pages are in the correct order; publications with unbound pages are wrapped to make sure they stay in the correct order during shipping). Materials returned to CIMC that do not meet these stipulations will not receive credit or will be assessed a 15% restocking fee, depending on age and condition. Q: How do I pay for your products?
A: We accept purchase orders, personal checks, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover).
Q: Can anyone order from CIMC?
A: Yes. You do not have to be a resident of Oklahoma. We have customers all over the United States and around the world.
Q: How is CIMC addressing the Career Clusters initiative?

Q: Do you have information about PASS skills?
