CTIMS - Approving a submitted grant

Approving an FLA-Carl Perkins Grant in CTIMS:

STEP 1: Sign into CTIMS using your account information: Once logged in, open the left hand file menu structure until it looks like below: Select the “FLA Manage Grants...” menu item.

STEP 2: After you select the “FLA Manage Grant Worksheet...” menu item, a screen will appear in the dashboard section. You will fill out your school information in the area circled in green similar to below: Once your school information is added click the “Search” button circled in red.

STEP 3: After you press “Search,” the screen below will appear. If you have more than one worksheet listed, look for the one that has information in the submission details box circled below:

STEP 4: After determining the grant that needs your approval click on the blue worksheet link associated with the submitted grant as circled below:

STEP 5: After you click on the blue worksheet link the following screen will appear. You can click on any of the circled sections, and the system will open the section, allowing you to review the contents if you desire to do so. On this step the most important section for review is “Funding Request Details.” After reviewing the contents, you will click the next step button highlighted in pink to continue:

STEP 6: After you click the “Next Step” button, the following screen will appear. You can click on any of the circled sections, and the system will open the section, allowing you to review the contents if you desire to do so. After reviewing the contents, you will click the next step button highlighted in pink to continue:

STEP 7: After you click the “Next Step” button, the following screen will appear. You can click on any of the circled sections, and the system will open the section, allowing you to review the contents if you desire to do so. On this step, the most important section for review is “Budget Line Items.” After reviewing the contents, you will click the "Approval Process" button as highlighted in pink below:

STEP 8: After you click the “Approval Process” button, the following screen will appear. The screen will list all of the approval information from previous users. You are required to add a note in the note section circled in green such as “approved – [add your name or initials]." After adding the note, you will need to push the “Approve” button as highlighted in pink to finalize the approval.

STEP 9: After you click the “Approve” button, the following screen will appear. The screen will look almost exactly like the screen in step 7, except that if the approval is complete the "Submit for Approval" button will be grayed out and a new “Change Request” button will appear. If this is the screen you see, you are done and can log out of the system. You will also receive an email from CTIMS notifying you that approval occurred.
