JOB TITLE: Web & Interactive Media Specialist Grade: F, 1-3

DEPARTMENT: Marketing SALARY: $17.56-$18.09/hr

CAMPUS: Franklin Road WORK PERIOD: M-F, 8am-5pm; Occasional Eve & Wknds

JOB #: 14-20B BENEFITS: Full Time


Under general supervision, performs skilled technical duties to provide marketing communication support. Assist Marketing Communications Director by developing and managing online marketing initiatives for internal and external audiences. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job. Since there may be several ways to solve a problem, an incumbent is free to choose the solution within established policies and procedures of the program and school.

Education: Associates degree in public relations, visual communications, web design, advertising, or communications req. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Special Knowledge, Skill, or Ability:

Ability to develop, administer and expand social media marketing, email marketing, online surveying, event marketing (online), and related tools and software

Working knowledge of website design production

Ability to develop, administer and expand web content and architecture

Knowledge of computers including ability to use MacOS and Windows-based systems, website applications, digital photography, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel), and interactive media software

Excellent oral and written communication skills; emphasis on proper grammar

Knowledge of image editing, files management, web servers, ftp/server transfer and database concepts is helpful

Coordination of district social media tools and techniques

Deadline and multi-task oriented

Ability to manage information and communications with staff effectively

Ability to work with limited supervision, plan projects and set goals, demonstrate initiative

Ability to work collaboratively with team members and members of other departments

Excellent reasoning ability and creative skills

Satisfactory personal conduct and integrity

Ability to work well with others

Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance

Strong, positive customer service skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skill or Ability:

· Adobe Flash, HTML 5, CSS and Javascript, Action Script, Flash Lite and related software

· Experience in Marketing

· Understanding of digital video platforms and platform integration

Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in online marketing including social media, email, website content management, web ad placement, development of interactive media and/or software applications and web-based marketing concepts; and social media content management. Digital image production and editing, helpful but not required. Bachelor’s degree can substitute for one year of experience.
