DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

GRADE/STEP: C, 1-3

SALARY: $13.64 - $14.07 per hour

WORK PERIOD: M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Performs advanced clerical and informational duties for a specified department; word processes a variety of standard documents and correspondence, assist customers and students with routine telephone and/or walk-up inquiries, schedules calendar items and meetings, processes forms, and establishing and maintaining records. Edits and proofreads documents to ensure accuracy. An incumbent in this position will follow generally standardized operating policies and procedures and interpret policies and procedures.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Special Requirements:

  • Excellent project coordination experience
  • Extensive software skills including Internet research abilities
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Possess effective verbal and written interpersonal skill; organizational and personnel management skill and initiative required. Able to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendor
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Maintain confidentiality of records and information
  • Satisfactory personal conduct and integrity
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance
  • Proficient in MS Office at an intermediate level
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality
  • Computer skills testing required

Experience: Minimum of three years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Human Resources experience preferred. Knowledge of education/career tech laws and regulations a plus.
