POSITION:  
Media Relations Marketing Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:

      Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred

      Experience:    Three years’ experience in journalism, community relations and/or marketing preferred

      Skills:   Must have superior written and oral communication skills and be knowledgeable of, understand and be able to utilize standard and innovative marketing techniques.  Must be creative and be able to translate that creativity into promotional events and products.  The ability to communicate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds is essential. Experience in creative direction of layout and design a plus.  Familiarity with use of social media for PR and Marketing purposes preferred.  Must be self-motivated and a strategic thinker with an ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:      To develop and implement media relations strategies emphasizing communication with media outlets; maintaining media coverage through news releases, journal articles, presentations, and audio/visual programs in order to enhance the image and increase the utilization of the programs and services of Autry Technology Center.
