SALARY: $ 65,446.00 - $66,956.00/yr

WORK PERIOD: M-F, 7:30am – 4:30pm

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for all aspects of network operation and support, including performance, efficiency, capacity, capability, reliability, and security. Manages technical support processes and supervises technical support staff.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with intent to complete Bachelor’s Degree; MIS, Computer Science, or Business Administration preferred

Credentials: CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, or Cisco Certified Network Associate  preferred.

Special Knowledge, Skill, or Ability:

§ Good oral and written communication skills

§ Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information

§ High standards of personal conduct and integrity

§ Ability to work well with others

§ Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance

§ Demonstrated knowledge of current Microsoft server technologies, including Windows Server 2008 R2, Exchange Server 2010, SQL Server 2008, Hyper-V or equivalent server virtualization technology

§ Demonstrated knowledge of Dell EqualLogic SANs or equivalent technology

§  Demonstrated knowledge of network switch configuration and management; Extreme Networks experience preferred

§ Demonstrated knowledge of remote access technologies

§ Working knowledge of current telecommunications devices and protocols

§ Ability to negotiate service and support contracts with vendors

§ Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously

§ Strong interpersonal skills essential

Experience: Minimum of three years current experience administering a Microsoft network. Microsoft Hyper-V, Dell EqualLogic, Extreme Networks and some supervisory experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills essential.
