Surgical Technology Instructor
POSITION: Surgical Technology Instructor
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Instruct students in theory, laboratory and clinical while serving as a professional role model.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Campus Director
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have current working knowledge of surgical technology and related subjects, and practice current safe and effective surgical skills. Ability to communicate and maintain a professional relationship with area health care facilities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of five (5) years of current experience in the operating room in the scrub role or five (5) years of current experience as an instructor of surgical technology or a combination of both. Teaching experience is desirable.
EDUCATION: HS diploma required. Possess a current credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to operate a 4-wheel vehicle in order to travel in state and out of state. Must have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
STARTING DATE: May 1, 2014
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month contract
