- Please note: As of 01 January 2013, there is no guarantee of a same day retest. Retest will be determined on the day of the exam, by the National Registry Rep and Exam Coordinator.
Testing Fees:
INITIAL EXAMINATION: Initial practical exam for AEMT & I-85 $160.00 and Paramedic $210.00. Exam fees include: 1) ALS Practical, 2) License application and copy upon successful completion of cognitive and skill exams, and 3) $10.00 applied toward a line of duty death benefit.
RETEST(S) EXAMINATION:
Full Practical Retest: $100.00
Partial Practical Retest: $50.00
4 STEP PROCESS FOR REGISTRATION FOR ALS SKILL EXAM:
- Click the following link for registration with Career Tech. Select the month you wish to test, then click on the globe icon on the far left of the page. YOU MUST RETAIN A CONFIRMATION COPY OF YOUR ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR ADMITTANCE INTO THE TEST.
2. Complete an OSDH application along with a signed affidavit of lawful citizenship by clicking the following link - EMT Application
3. Mail the application, affidavit and payment to the following:

Allow a minimum of THREE WEEKS (3) for processing.
