Howard Hanni, former teacher at Davis passed away this week. His services will be this Saturday, November 21, at 2:00 Murray Co Expo Center between Davis & Sulphur. Mr. Hanni taught 33 years, 31 of which were at Davis.
Steve Ratchford, Ag teacher at Davis had an accident Satuday, November 7, falling from a scaffolding and crushing his elbow. He has had surgery to place rods and pins, and faces another 7 hour surgery today, Friday, November 13. Please keep Steve in your thoughts and prayers.
Please keep the Keylon Family in your prayers. Kody Keylon of Texhoma, OK lost his life in a car accident on Tuesday, November 3rd 2009. He was an extremely active FFA member. His SAE's included showing and raising cattle, show goats, and helping with the family construction business. He also enjoyed the FFA Sporting Clays contest where he had just participated in the District contest. Showing cattle was his passion where he was named champion showman numerous times. He was currently showing a commercial as well as a Shorthorn heifer that had been champion and/or reserve several times throughout the summer and at county fairs and the Five State Fair in Liberal, KS. Kody was also a member of the freshmen livestock judging team where he has placed at all levels of competition. He was the two time defending high individual at the Texas County livestock judging contest held in Guymon in conjunction with the Texas County Stock Show in the Spring and the Panhandle Exposition in the fall.
