How to Make Ice Cream in a Bag or Can
If you are looking for a fun activity for an FFA meeting refreshment time, you
might consider one of the following:

1. Ice Cream in a Baggie:
Items you will need:
a. Sandwich size Zip-Loc baggies for each member
b. Gallon size Zip-Loc baggies for each member
c. Sugar
d. Milk or half & half
e. Vanilla
f. Ice
g. Rock salt
g. Measuring cup and measuring spoons
h. Plastic bowls & spoons
i. Ice cream toppings
First, put in the sandwich sized bag:
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup of milk or half & half
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
Zip up the bag
Next, Put the filled sandwich bag into the the gallon-size Zip-Loc baggie.
Also, put in 2 Tablespoons of rock sale and fill the gallon-size baggie 3/4 full
of ice and zip it closed.
Now, shake and roll the bag until it firm to your liking.
Remove and dry the sandwich bag.
Cut off one of the corners, squeeze into cup or bowl, add toppings, and enjoy.
2. Ice Cream in a Can:
Items you will need:
a. Several 1lb. coffee cans with lids (depending on number of members)
b. The same number of 3lb. coffee cans with lids
c. Duct tape

f. Ice

h. Plastic bowls & spoons
i. Ice cream toppings
