A college degree and teacher certification is required.

You might consider attending a 2 year college and transferring to Oklahoma State University or Panhandle State University, or attending OSU or PSU for the full term.

Your college experience will take 4-5 years on the average.

Are you prepared to become and Ag Ed instructor?  To prepare yourself for a career in Ag Ed, you should:
  •  Take a concentration of Agricultural Education and science courses.  
  • You should be active in public speaking 
  • You should be prepared for college algebra.  
  • In addition, taking two foreign language courses will allow you to meet one of the teaching requirements while still in High School.  
  • Finally, you must like school.  After all that's where we do our best work.
