Training for Existing Industry Initiative Information for Technology Center Industrial Coordinators

Oklahoma’s Career and Technology Education System is extremely fortunate to receive funding for the Existing Industry Training Program. It provides us with yet one more way to serve our business and industry customers. With eligibility requirements similar to that of the Training for Industry Program, this is an economic development tool that helps assure Oklahoma stays competitive with other states.

Even though funding is extremely limited, we have done a great job of stretching the dollars. In its first four years the Existing Industry Program served 614 companies and 26,103 employees all at an average cost of $246.39 per employee.
