Volunteer Firefighter Training
Oklahoma’s technology centers continually work to help keep rural fire departments staffed with properly trained individuals. With more than 50 campuses throughout the state, the CareerTech System can efficiently deliver the training your firefighters need at a location near your community.
In response to the Oklahoma Volunteer Firefighter Training Initiative Act, technology centers are using Oklahoma State University’s fire service training curriculum to make training more accessible to rural fire departments.
Depending on the type and complexity of the training requested, training can vary from four hours to courses spanning weeks, months, or a year.
