Question: Do you know what the requirements are for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business to Joint Venture?

Answer: In accordance with 13 C.F.R. 125.15(b), SDVO SBCs may enter into a joint venture agreement with one or more other SBCs for the purpose of performing an SDVO contract. A joint venture of at least one SDVO SBC and one or more other business concerns may submit an offer as a small business for a competitive SDVO SBC procurement so long as each concern is small under the size standard corresponding to the NAICS code assigned to the contract.

Answer: The System for Award Management (SAM) is the Official U.S. Government system that consolidated the capabilities of CCR/FedReg, ORCA and EPLS.  There is NO fee to register for this site.  OBAN coordinators can assist you in registering in SAM.  OBAN does not charge for our services.

SAM is combing the federal procurements systems and the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance into one new system.  At the current time SAM includes the following systems:

  • Central Contractor Registry (CCR)
  • Federal Agency Registration (Fedreg)
  • Online Representations and Certifications Application
  • Excluded Parties List System (EPLS)
  • The benefit of SAM includes streamlined and integrated processes, elimination of data redundancies and reduced costs while providing improved capability.
