Free Online Courses: From Lara Skaggs, Program Coordinator, Health Careers
This information has been sent to Health Ed Teachers--please forward to any individuals or groups you feel would benefit by these courses.
As part of a grant with the Southwest Center for Public Health Preparedness and the Oklahoma Dept. of CareerTech Education, two online courses have been developed for your use. These courses are free for you and anyone with whom you wish to share. Healthcare and disaster preparedness industry partners may find them of particular benefit, but they are universal in their appeal as the topics relate to us all.
The titles of the courses are:
Disaster Volunteer Toolkit
Food Safety Toolkit
Each course begins by asking for some demographic data that the SW Center needs to collect for outreach purposes. Features of the courses include online content, video, exercises and a certificate upon completion for your portfolio.
The
attached document will give directions for login and use of these courses. If you have additional questions, please contact me at the number below or by email.
