The first step in the profiling process
involves contacting the employer. The profiler
will then obtain information
about the job to be profiled,
schedule the profiling session, explain
resources and subject matter expert (SME)
requirements, and schedule a tour of the
incumbents’ workplace.
The time required to complete a profile
depends on the complexity of the job, the
number of skills profiled, and the availability
of the subject matter experts (SME’s).
