Graphic Communications Series

 Free Download

Our Graphics Communications series includes Orientation to Graphic Communications, Press Operations: Binding and Finishing, and Digital File Preparation and Output.

Orientation to Graphic Communications is newly revised and contains three new units: "Job Application Skills," "Introduction to Binding and Finishing," and "Introduction to Digital File Preparation and Output." This book introduces students to job opportunities in the printing industry and the basic concepts and skills necessary to be employed in an entry-level graphic communications occupation. It is endorsed by PrintED and aligns to their curriculum standard.

The revised Press Operations: Binding and Finishing contains two new units on binding and finishing, including troubleshooting. This book deals with offset press systems and operating procedures, and addresses the important economic aspects of pricing, waste management, the overall costs of doing business, and binding and finishing. Binding and Finishing is also endorsed by PrintED and aligns to their curriculum standard.

Digital File Preparation and Output takes students through the entire digital file preparation and output process, from creating a document to successfully sending a file to a print shop or service bureau. This publication will be available in 2007.

Agricultural Communications Series

Free Download

 Our Agricultural Communications Series covers a spectrum of careers in the field of ag communications. Oral and Written covers communication strategies, professional relationships, thinking and writing skills, photojournalism, public speaking, and career investigation. Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations covers advertising media, consumer behavior, selling techniques, and other skills related to careers in the fields of agricultural advertising, marketing, and public relations. Electronic Media covers web page development, desktop publishing, radio production, print communication, and multimedia.

Video Editing TLA

 The Video Editing TLA is a nine-day Technology Learning Activity that introduces students to careers and skills related to video production. Students learn about scriptwriting, storyboards, and camera operation.
