Frequently Asked Questions
- Your Powerpoint presentations seem to have some missing text; what can I do?
Most of our Powerpoint presentations were created with Powerpoint 2003 and may not work correctly in Powerpoint 2007. Please visit the Microsoft website to learn how to correct this problem.
- How is CIMC addressing the Career Clusters initiative?
We have created a Career Cluster Matrix that identifies our skill standards, curriculum, and assessments according to cluster areas. To learn more about the Career Clusters initiative, visit CareerTech's Career Clusters page.
- Help! I can't access your online catalog!
If you are trying to get to the CIMC online catalog using an old bookmark that went directly to the catalog, you must update your bookmark. You will always be able to access the catalog through our catalog "gateway" page.
- Do you still carry Duty/Task lists?
Duty/Task lists, which are now known as Skills Standards, can be downloaded from our Testing Division's website.
- How can I order materials or get a copy of your catalog?
You can order online 24 hours a day, or give us a call. Our toll-free (U.S. only) customer service number is 800-654-4502. Customer service hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Central Time. You may also fax an order to 405-743-5154 (a form is available in our catalog or online) or send an e-mail to our customer service department.

You can purchase the latest edition of Welcome to the Web through our Customer Service department.
- Is the book about the history of CareerTech still available?
Yes, Learning to Earn is still available through our customer service department. We also have a new discussion guide, "Major Milestones of Career and Technology Education in Oklahoma," that provides a concise view of the big picture, presenting the history of Career and Technology Education in the context of world history. Download a free copy of this discussion guide to use alone, or in conjunction with Learning to Earn.
- Do you have information about PASS skills?
Yes; we have crosswalks available in several areas. Please see our Embedded Credit (PASS) page.
- Can CIMC products help me meet the requirements of No Child Left Behind?
Yes! Our No Child Left Behind page explains how our products help you meet these requirements, and we also have publications to download and links to dozens of helpful resources.
- How can I find out when a particular product will be available?
For more information about a specific publication, please contact Craig Maile, our Development Team Leader. You can reach him through e-mail or call 405.743.5448. Keep an eye on our New Products page to see what's hot off the press, and read our CIMC Update newsletter to find out what projects we're currently working on.
- Can I reproduce your materials?
Only with permission. All CIMC materials are protected by copyright, which means you cannot copy our materials in whole or in part -- other than limited portions according to fair use policies -- without our permission (Nolo Press has a good explanation of fair use and suggested guidelines). Some components of our curriculum (such as handouts and tests) state that they may be copied for student use. You may make as many copies of those pages as necessary. Please note that this does not give you permission to take the content from those pages and put it in a different form, or to copy any pages that do not have this statement. Contact Suzanne Perry for permission to copy our materials or to use them in anything other than their original form. You can reach her through e-mail or call her at 405.743.5195.
- Do you provide evaluation copies? What is your return policy?
Sorry, we cannot provide evaluation copies. However, printed materials that do not meet your needs may be authorized for return if they are within the approved return period and are in resalable condition. Materials returned to CIMC that do not meet these stipulations will not receive credit or will be assessed a 15% restocking fee, depending on age and condition. Videos and software cannot be returned. For more information, or for return authorization, contact our Customer Service staff by e-mail or call 800.654.4502. You can also download free samples of many of our products.
- How do I pay for your products?
We accept purchase orders, personal checks, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover).
-
Can anyone order from CIMC?
