CareerTech Summer Conference
August 4-6, 2008, Oklahoma City
STEP ONE:
Carefully read all of the following before placing your hotel reservation.
- All new reservations, changes and cancellations
should be made directly with the hotel, either on-line or by
telephone. When
making reservations by telephone, mention “CareerTech Summer
Conference” to receive the group rate. The individual hotel
will send a confirmation to you after your reservation has been
processed via e-mail if using on-line reservation method or with
a verbal confirmation if using telephone.
- All reservations are based on a first-come,
first-served basis; all on-line reservations must be guaranteed
to a credit card (which will not be charged until time of check-in).
- Please be aware of hotel’s individual cancellation policy-
some require 72 hour advance cancellation notification. Please
request a cancellation number for your records as “no-shows” will
be charged one night’s room rate.
- Please note that the Courtyard, Sheraton
and Renaissance hotels are completely Non-Smoking. A hefty fine will be issued for
smoking on hotel premises including guest rooms. The Clarion
Meridian offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms upon request.
- Current tax of 13.875% is not included in quoted prices.
- If paying with purchase order, hotels require a copy of an approved
purchase order along with a tax-exempt letter two weeks prior to
arrival.
- Shuttle service to/from the hotels and
convention center will not be provided. See “Transportation and Parking” section
of the conference website for more information.
STEP TWO:

Conference Hotels & Negotiated
Room Rates:
- The Clarion Meridian Hotel, 737 S. Meridian Avenue, is
located on the SW corner of I-40 and S. Meridian Ave. This economy-style
hotel is an easy drive to downtown and has many nearby restaurants.
It features an indoor swimming pool and exercise room. Room
rate includes an expanded complimentary breakfast, 6:00-9:30am – 7
days a week, includes biscuits and gravy, sausage sandwiches,
egg/cheese omelets, French toast, waffles, fresh fruit, hot/cold
beverages and more. Complimentary evening reception available
Monday-Thursday, 5:30-7:00pm, featuring complimentary beverages
and appetizers. Free, on-site parking in surface lots available
to all guests. One of the Oklahoma Spirit Trolley stops is also
located nearby the hotel. $64, Single/Double/Triple/Quad.
- The Courtyard by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown, 2 West
Reno Avenue, is located on the south side of the Cox
Convention Center, on the corner of Reno Ave. and Gaylord Blvd.
This is an upscale hotel featuring all non-smoking rooms,
free high speed internet, in-room coffee service, deluxe fitness
center and indoor heated pool. The on-site restaurant,
Courtyard Grille, is open daily for breakfast and dinner only. Parking
is available in attached garage, fees are: $12 daily, $2
hourly and $20 valet. Guest room rates $119,
Single/Double/Triple/Quad
- The Sheraton Hotel Oklahoma City Downtown, One North
Broadway, is located on the north side of the Cox Convention
Center, connected via tunnel to the Center. This is a full-service
hotel with newly renovated guest rooms. The hotel
features all non-smoking guest rooms, an on-site restaurant
and lounge, The Aria Grille and Lounge along with an outdoor
swimming pool and state-of-the-art exercise room. Parking
is available in the attached garage, fees are $8.00 daily. Guest
room rates $119 Single/ Double, $149 Triple and
$179 Quad
- The Renaissance by Marriott Downtown
Oklahoma City Hotel, 10 N. Broadway, is located on the
north side of the Cox Convention Center, connected via Sky Bridge
to the Center. This is a 4-diamond, full-service hotel
featuring all non-smoking guest rooms, an on-site restaurant
and lounge, the Falling Water Grille and the Water’s Edge
Lounge. The hotel also features Caffeina’s Marketplace,
serving Starbucks coffee, open for breakfast and lunch only.
24-hour room service, a full service spa, indoor pool, whirlpool
and fitness center. Self-parking is available in adjacent Santa
Fe garage, fees are $12.00 daily. Valet parking is available
for $20 fee. You may also park in Cox Convention Center
garage for $6.00 fee. Guest

The Colcord Hotel, 15 N. Robinson, is across
the street from the Cox Convention Center and Myriad Botanical
Gardens. This
luxury, full-service boutique hotel features 108 incredibly
spacious non-smoking rooms, an onsite French Continental
Restaurant, lounge and outside garden patio. The
hotel also features room service, in-suite spa services, and
fitness center. *Plus, Complimentary Airport Transfers, Free
water bottles and Complimentary Wireless Connection*! Self-Parking
in our lot is $9/day and Valet Parking Service is $13/day. Guest
Room Rates: $129/night
for Single or Double Rooms.
