OK Career Guide Training- Summer Conference
Join us for a full day of OK Career Guide Training during Summer Conference on August 4th! OK Career Guide is Oklahoma’s premier online career development system, featuring a wide variety of tools designed to guide users throughout the career exploration path.
In this training, you will learn the features of this online system including portfolios, assessments, school and career databases and best practices for using OK Career Guide. This training will also include insight into the Administrative Database Management System (ADMS) and how to effectively use it for access to your users data.
This hands-on training will take place during the Divisional Session at OSU-Tulsa, from 8:30-2:30 with an hour lunch break. Training will be held in a computer lab (2303) at the Main Hall of OSU – Tulsa, across the street from where the Student Services divisional breakout sessions will be housed. Lunch and snacks will be provided across the street with the divisional breakouts. Since space for this training is limited to 25 attendees, you must register ahead of time and should expect to stay for the duration. Registration is first come, first served. (NOTE: If you register for the training and then your plans change, contact us immediately. We will need your slot for the ones who are on the waiting list.)

Guidance Early Registration Special – If you pre-register with payment on or before July 24, you are eligible for a special drawing. The winner of this drawing will receive reimbursement of his/her OkACTE/ACTE dues, a $150 value provided by the OkACTE Guidance Division. The drawing will be held and the winner announced at the OkACTE Awards Ceremony/Guidance Business meeting Monday afternoon-YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
Monday, August 3 Information
All OkACTE Guidance members are invited to the OkACTE Guidance Awards Ceremony/Division Business Meeting. Cookies and lemonade will be provided. Please be there at 12:30 sharp! The meeting room will be decorated! Award winners will be recognized! Business packets will be given out at the meeting and there will be voting for Guidance officers. Audience members will receive important updates on the OkACTE Guidance Division. Door prizes will be given out. And, remember-you must be present to win the door prizes and the Guidance Early Registration Special. The OkACTE Guidance Awards Ceremony/Division Business Meeting is Monday, August 3, in the Doubletree Hotel, Manchester/Geneva Ballrooms, first floor. The Awards Ceremony/Business meeting will be 12:30 – 1:50 pm.
Tuesday, August 4 Information
On Tuesday, August 4, Student Services Staff (Guidance, Educational Services-Special Populations, CTEEC, and Financial Aid) will hold their divisional meetings on the Oklahoma State University Campus in Tulsa. The campus is located at 700 North Greenwood. A map is located at their website to assist you in locating the campus and to locate the meeting rooms once you are on campus. Food options on Tuesday, August 4
Breakfast, lunch and breaks for Student Services staff will be on the first floor in the North Conference Hall. Breakfast and breaks for STEM staff will be on the second floor. Lunch for STEM staff will be across the street in the Main Conference Hall.
NOTE: There will be NO shuttle service from the Convention Center to the OSU-Tulsa Campus. Please make arrangements for your own transportation
As last year, the STEM sessions will be on the second floor of the North Conference Hall. These sessions are for teachers of math and science and Technology Engineering teachers. Please review the summer conference agenda to see what sessions will benefit you most, and plan your day accordingly. You are encouraged to attend the session you need most, regardless of affiliation.
