- An opportunity to obtain 15 hours of university credit, which will apply toward the Professional Core requirements for teacher certification. (2013-2014 Cohort)
Eligibility for CT Teacher Institute
Registration Deadline: July 5, 2013
Training and support are designed for beginning CT teachers, whom do not hold a degree in teacher education. The following guidelines for eligibility apply:
- Teachers with two (2) or fewer years of experience
- Holds an alternative or provisional teaching certificate
At this time, enrollment in the program is open to all that apply. However, if the number of applicants exceeds an effective student to instructor ratio, a selection process will be applied and candidates will be notified of their acceptance. Diversity of participants is vital; therefore, participants will be representative of our entire system, occupational areas and certification track. If candidate applications exceed instructional capacity, a list of alternate participants will be kept in the event that additional space becomes available or for participation in the next cohort.
