A Successful CareerTech Week at EOC Tech
Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center and Oklahoma’s Department of Career and Technology Education celebrated Career and Technology Education Week February 13-19. It has been 100 years since the first vocational class was held in a classroom in Oklahoma.

Canadian Valley Technology Center Hosts John Deere Mobile Training
John Deere customers and dealers in the surrounding area will benefit from mobile training delivered closer to their dealerships at Canadian Valley Technology Center (CVTC).

Autry Tech Receives HVACR National Accreditation
PAHRA is the only HVACR accreditation program that is validated by representatives from each major HVACR trade association and is available to all training programs, whether they are secondary, post secondary, public or private. It was created for the purpose of establishing national educational standards for accrediting HVACR programs.

Northwest Technology Center Students Work With Centennial Committee
Northwest Technology Center Business and Information Technology program students recently designed a brochure for the Canton Centennial. Students proofread, scanned, word-processed, designed the publication, then presented a variety of brochure designs to the Chamber Publicity Committee.

Tech Traditions Run Deep in Local Family
At Tri County Technology Center, the Randolph family legacy lives on. In 1972, welding student Monte Randolph was president of the 450-member Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) chapter at Tri County Technology Center.
Tulsa Tech Sponsors Pre-Engineering Courses in Area High Schools
Pre-engineering courses are will be offered at Bishop Kelly, Booker T. Washington, Edison Preparatory, Owasso, and Union high schools in the 05-06 school year, according to Kent Inouye, director of Tulsa Technology Center’s off-campus programs

Moore Norman Tech Center Student Shines at International Conference and in Business World
Moore High School senior Jay Villemarette, owns and operates a cleaning, maintenance and installation service for decorative ponds under the name Patio Garden Ponds.

Career Extravaganza Held in Ponca City
Approximately 800 eighth grade students participated in the “Career Extravaganza 2005” hands-on career fair held recently at the National Guard Armory in Ponca City.

Megan Martin Leads Motorcycle Tech Team Sweep
The 18-year-old Megan Martin led a team of young motorcycle technicians to sweep the gold, silver and bronze medals at the recent state-wide CareerTech Skills USA meet in Tulsa.
