Canadian Valley Technology Center Hosts John Deere Mobile Training

Mobile UnitEl Reno - John Deere customers and dealers in the surrounding area will benefit from mobile training delivered closer to their dealerships at Canadian Valley Technology Center (CVTC).

The John Deere Road Scholars Mobile Training Facility is a 53-foot trailer that converts to a 22x28-foot classroom. The trailer holds up to 16 students and accommodates eight portable computers equipped with satellite (VSAT) connection. The trailer classroom also contains an audio-visual system with large screen viewing.

The custom built semi-truck and trailer travels the country educating John Deere employees in a variety of skills including sales, administrative and customer service training.

Classroom Inside Trailer"The truck runs 48 weeks a year and covers 48 states and Canada," said Brian Berger, John Deere instructor. "Canadian Valley Technology Center was picked as a host for our facility because this campus is centrally located for our employees coming from Elk City, Enid, Stillwater and Weatherford."

The 16 students attending the week-long training will focus on electrical trade skills specific to John Deere equipment.
