ICTC Radiologic Technology Program Receives Maximum Accreditation Award

By Roberta Scott
Indian Capital Technology Center

Tom Stiles, superintendent of Indian Capital Technology Center, announces that the Radiologic Technology program, located on the Muskogee Campus, has received the maximum accreditation award by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education for the accreditation of educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. Specialized accreditation awarded by the JRCERT offers institutions significant value by providing peer evaluation and by assuring the public of quality professional education in the radiologic sciences.

The continuing accreditation status of the program was considered at the April 20, 2007 meeting of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. The program was evaluated according to the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiologic Sciences (2002). The JRCERT awarded the Indian Capital Technology Center Radiologic Technology Program accreditation for a period of eight years. This is the maximum duration that may be awarded by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
