M E M O R A N D U M

TO:                   Competitive Event Participants and Advisers

SUBJECT:        Competitive Event Information 

We are pleased that you are participating in the 2010 FCCLA Competitive Events April 9-10.  Because of your enthusiastic participation, the events will be a success.  Refer to the schedule of events for the date, time, and location of your event.  Be sure to be on time to avoid a point deduction.   

Parking at the Oklahoma Department of CareerTech is limited.  You may find overflow parking on the west end of the hospital parking lot. 

Recognition for all events will take place at the completion of event at each of the sites of the event. 

*** First place winners in each event will need to write a thank you card to the plaque sponsors.  Thank you cards will need to be turned in to state staff before leaving the event site.  *Thank you cards will need to be stamped. 

First place state winners will have an instruction sheet taped to the back of their plaque. The instruction sheet will tell them where and when they are to meet for recognition at the state convention. First place state winners will be congratulated on stage during the closing general session at the FCCLA State Convention, April 16th. 

REFER TO THE ON-LINE COMPETITIVE EVENTS MANUAL FOR ALL COMPETITIVE EVENT GUIDELINES AND CAREFULLY FOLLOW DIRECTIONS TO AVOID POINT DEDUCTIONS.
