Personnel File Documentation:

Pursuant to State Rules and Regulations an application must be kept on file in the Health Careers Education Office for division instructors.  All new Health Careers Education instructors should complete the Statement of Qualifications.  Mail the Statement of Qualifications together with copy of their transcripts and a copy of their professional credentials to:

In order to get new instructors into the state finance system, we require that you complete the Vendor/Payee Form with Instructions and mail it to Stella Gilbert CPS/CAP at the above address.

New Teacher Training:

HCE New Teacher Attendance Requirements:

  • Teachers hired Oct 2, 2008 - May 7 2009 should attend the May and October training.

  • Teachers hired May 7, 2009 - July 20, 2009 should attend the July and October training.

  • Teachers hired July 21, 2009 - October 1, 2009 should attend the October 2009 and May 2010 training.

Session Dates and Descriptions:

  • May 7, 2009 - New Teacher Training session has been designed for semi-experienced HCE instructors. 

  • July 20-21, 2009 (Tentative Dates) -   The activities are designed to introduce new instructors to the CareerTech system and provide them with the fundamentals needed to start teaching.  Assistance with fingerprinting and registration for Summer Conference will be provided.

  • October 1, 2009 (Tentative Date) -   New Teacher Academy Follow-Up In-service has been designed for all new Health Careers Education instructors and any experienced instructors who may wish to attend.  The subjects covered at this workshop are different than those included in the other New Teacher Training and include issues such as legal, disability and OkCIS.
