State Career Development Conference
Each year, DECA members from across the state come together to demonstrate their marketing skills by participating in competitions designed for specific marketing career objectives. The 66th Annual Oklahoma DECA Career Development Conference will be held Feb. 23-24, 2010 at the Marriott Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Conference Registration
Conference registration opens on January 11, 2010 and closes on January 22 at 4:30 p.m. Please print and read the registration instructions regarding State CDC and National CDC before beginning the registration process! You can access the online registration site when it is available on January 11 at www.registermychapter.com/deca/ok.
Cost of registration is $50 per participant. DECA State t-shirts will be provided. Orders will be placed upon registration.

Rate: $87.00 per room plus lodging and sales tax. You can fax or mail your tax exempt status to the hotel along with your registration.
You will need to make your own room reservations for you and your students. The hotel will take a purchase order. Please note that the hotel does not guarantee room type.
Online Testing Form
Teachers, you will need to designate team members that are testing. You will do this by giving each member the same team number. Each team will have a different number, for example Team 1, Team 2, Team 3. The events that require this action are the Team Decision Making Events or if you have more than one team for a Written Event. Click this link to get a copy of the DECA Testing Admittance form.

A variety of competitions are available, including role plays, written research projects, and comprehensive exams. This year a new area of competition, the Principles of Business Administration Events has been added to our competitive event program. These events will focus on ly on our first year members. They will be taking the Business Administration Core Exam. The winners in each event are eligible to go on to International competition.
2010-11 DECA State Officer Candidates
The state officer candidates will each complete the application packet found on this website. These are due on December 11, 2009. Interviews will be held on January 13, 2010. Each officer will prepare a video podcast for their campaign.
Emergency Procedures for CTSO Conferences/Events
The Oklahoma Department of CareerTech office now requires local chapter advisors to provide accurate and current information about their students participating in each conference/event to school superintendents and principals in case of emergency. Please review the procedures memo below and download a copy of the Conference Information Sheet to share with your administration. It is very important that you provide the Permission Assurance Form signed by your administrator in order for your students to compete at the State Conference.
