Course Title
Broadcast Production
Course Description
Customer service, marketing, project management techniques and professionalism will be emphasized as students complete video-based projects for broadcast production. Students complete numerous projects that will be included in their portfolios as they acquire skills in advanced video editing and production.

Knowledge and Skills
- Finalize productions for publication using professional video editing software.
- Apply story development, directing, cinematography, and editing to animation to create storyboards that show the flow of the animation and map out key scenes and characters using appropriate software.
- Design complex videos using independent judgment, creativity, and computer equipment.
- Script, plan, and create video narrative sequences under tight deadlines, using appropriate software.
- Participate in design and production of multimedia campaigns, handling budgeting and scheduling, and assisting with such responsibilities as production coordination, background design and progress tracking.
- Coordinate with design team to ensure design meets business goals.
- Develop, evaluate, and revise text and scripts using scriptwriting software.
- Ensure media productions and acquisitions meet legal and copyright requirements.
- Gather data to identify internal and external customer requirements.
- Complete an interactive video DVD in a production studio environment.
- Show improvement in knowledge of organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrate an increase of knowledge and practical skill level in the areas of technical video production, broadcasting, and creative development.
- Demonstrate compliance with relevant business ethics and copyright infringement as they pertain to the multimedia and/or broadcast industry.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of various types of video production equipment and software found in professional studios.
- Demonstrate ways to communicate effectively and efficiently through video productions.
- Provide technical production support for audio and video productions.
- Plan and deliver a broadcast production.
