Upon completion of this course the student will demonstrate the se of the portable control box, adjustment of various components, and prebending and circular bending methods.

• Define terms associated with plate roller operations
• Describe the procedures for starting up a plate roller machine
• Describe the procedures for the parallel adjustment of the lower rolls
• Describe the use of each component of the portable control box
• Describe the procedures for adjustment of the slip clutch
• State the purpose of a double pinch plate roller machine
• Discuss prebending and circular bending methods
• Describe the criteria for determining the choice of method
• Describe five different methods of using the plate roller machine
• Read drawings associated with each method
• Discuss what is meant by “rolling according to scales”
• Describe the bending capacity of the plate rolling machine
• Read a bending diagram
