Oklahoma CareerTech students during the 07-08 academic year were enrolled in more than 78,000 college credit hours.
  • CareerTech and Oklahoma Higher Education partner up to encourage more students to pursue college degrees.
  • CareerTech high school students can earn high school and college credits simultaneously.
  • During each semester of the 07-08 academic year, more than 2,100 high school and 2,300 adult CareerTech students were enrolled in highly affordable and transferable college credits.
  • Earning college credit at a technology center saves time and money for both students and parents.
Nearly half of Oklahoma high school students (87,415) are enrolled in CareerTech classes.
  • Nearly 72,000 students are learning important leadership skills as members of CareerTech student organizations - FFA, FCCLA, SkillsUSA, TSA, BPA, HOSA and DECA.
  • CareerTech students can "jump-start" their careers by learning industry-valued skills and earning industry certifications.
  • CareerTech high school students are encouraged to continue their educating at colleges and technology centers.
