Lessons About the Real World of Marketing

Charlie Bright, Broken Arrow High School marketing education student, hesitates to draw from the envelope offered by Kristie Suttee, sales manager of the Tulsa Doubletree Downtown. Suttee is one of the business professionals volunteering their time serving as judges for this entrepreneurship simulation activity. Bright pulled a $350 utility bill that was due from the envelope containing a variety of expenses a typical store must pay for his team’s store “The Athlete Zone.”  
CareerTech high school marketing education students received hands-on learning in television and radio ad development and production at the first Leadership Development Academy’s entrepreneurship simulation activity provided recently during the 60th DECA Career Development Conference.
