The Great Mars Adventure Photo Gallery II

Students rode the “manned exploration vehicle” (go-cart) one time without gloves and one time with gloves. They did an extra vehicular activity or EVA (sample collection) and returned. Samples were not shown until after everyone had them. Duplicate samples show a need to communicate where diversity of samples show a diversity of items to choose from. From the left: (back row) Jody, Garen, Logan, Tyria, Ismael (in surface exploration vehicle), and Hector (assisting for strap in).

Preparing for an extra vehicular activity are, from the left, Garen and Hector.

The manned exploration vehicle becomes air born, showing the decrease in gravity on Mars, as Ismael heads out on his extra vehicular activity.

Garen and the landing.

Valles Marineris… the great valley of Mars. Ten times the size of our Grand Canyon on Earth, and twice as funny to e-mail to the other bases (staged of course).
