| Governor Brad
Henry, a former agricultural education student and
member of the FFA, received recognition as an Oklahoma CareerTech
Champion April 27 at the State Capitol, just as the 78th State FFA
Convention was kicking off at the Cox Convention Center. The Oklahoma
Career and Technology Education state director, Dr. Phil Berkenbile
and two Oklahoma State University seniors, Jeremy Porter from Agra
and Matt Kelly from Elgin presented the plaque to the governor. Porter
and Kelly, majoring in agricultural communications, recently served
as interns at the state CareerTech agency in the communications and
marketing division and are also working in the state FFA conference
newsroom. Berkenbile, Porter and Kelly are also former FFA members. |
