Location Lexington Skills Center – Lexington, Oklahoma
Average Training Time Four year apprenticeship training
Special Restrictions All applicants must be at least 18 years of age. All applicants must have an entry score of at least 5.1 on the TABE test and have their high school diploma or GED either prior to enrollment or prior to completion of the probationary period. Must be DOC classified as Level 3 or 4. All applicants must be eligible for OCI placement at the Joseph Harp Correctional Center and not be eligible for lower than medium security before program completion.
Course Description Cabinetmaking Apprenticeship program is an open entry program training inmates in the cabinetmaking trade, covering all aspects of woodworking and design, with an emphasis on safety in all aspects of the trade. Inmates receive on the job training as they construct various cabinets and woodworking projects.
