Parade of Presidents
At the beginning of the Opening General Session, we will introduce all Local Chapter Presidents on stage. Local Chapter Presidents should report to the front of the stage in the Council Oak Ballroom at 8:45 a.m.
Courtesy Corps will be connected to the registration. Each chapter should try to commit 1-2 students to help with the courtesy corps to make the conference run more smoothly. In addition, students will learn valuable conference planning and leadership skills to help conduct our largest state event of the year!
We understand that you are busy during conference, but we need your help to make CDC successful! That is one reason there is no registration fee for advisors. To offset this, we need you to assist in assigned areas during the competitive events on Tuesday, February 7. The schedule will be sent out prior to the conference with advisor work schedules. Please arrive at your work assignment a few minutes prior to the time shown in the schedule. If there are any problems with your assigned time, please let me know before the conference. Please keep in mind that if you fail to report to your scheduled time it slows down the competitive event process which ultimately impacts our students. They’ve worked hard to get here, please help ensure they have a positive experience. We’ll do our best to limit the amount of time you’re away from students.
Each chartered chapter will be allowed two voting delegates. The number of advisors/programs within the school does not qualify the number of voting delegates, but the charter itself does. The voting session will occur during the Second General Session/Business Meeting on Wednesday February 8, 2016, from 8:30a.m. – 9:30a.m. Voting delegates are not allowed to have campaign materials during the Second General Session/Business Meeting (i.e. brochures, pins, flyers, etc.). Voting delegates must provide their own mobile device that is wifi enabled to access the online ballots.
There will be a meeting immediately after the Awards Ceremony on February 8. Advisors and students planning to attend ICDC should attend this meeting as the arrangements for registration and other items will be discussed at this meeting. There is an ICDC Prep Workshop planned to assist students who will be representing Oklahoma at ICDC. The Workshop will be held at the Oklahoma Department of CareerTech in Stillwater, on Thursday, April 5, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The 2016 Conference Evaluation will be online and the link will be given during the Grand Awards Session. Please encourage your students to complete the evaluation to provide feedback to improve future conferences.
