NTHS Stars of Excellence Nominations Sought

The Oklahoma Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society is seeking nominations for the Stars of Excellence Award. Nominations are due March 1.

Josh BrecheenNominations are being sought for the 2012 National Technical Honor Society Stars of Excellence Award.

Past recipients of the prestigious award include Sen.Josh Brecheen,  Phil Berkenbile state director of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, and Greg Winters, superintendent of Canadian Valley Technology Center and National NTHS board member.

What makes a Star of Excellence? Contributions and service that the candidate has provided to promote scholarship, career and technology education and most importantly to NTHS, as well as leadership to the candidate’s profession, to scholarship, career and technology education and to NTHS at the local, state, and/or national level are considered.

Inductees are not required to be former NTHS members or advisors and up to two nominees shall be inducted annually. The award is presented annually at  Summer Conference.

The National Technical Honor Society honors excellence in workforce education. The society is the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in workforce education.
