Frequently Asked Questions about the Conference

Q.   When should I be able to register for the conference?

A.  Conference registration is now open (Registration).  If you have any questions regarding Summer Conference registration, please contact Debbie Newsom at the OkACTE office at 405-525-8906 or (Please use this contact information for all registration related questions).


Q.  When should I be able to register for the Continuous School Improvement (CSI) workshop?

A.  Registration for the CSI workshop in now open (CSI Workshop Registration).  A separate registration fee of $50 is required, payable to the “CareerTech Conference Account”.  This will require an additional transaction and payment as this event is sponsored by ODCTE.


Q. I’m interested in purchasing a booth or have other questions about trade show.  Who do I contact for more details?

A. CTAC has contracted with Event 1, inc. to provide the booth sales and management services this year.  Please contact Lee Ann Potter at Event 1 or 918-245-8006.


Q.  Will ODCTE provide a stipend to conference attendees this year?

A.  Because of ongoing budget concerns, ODCTE is not able to provide stipends again this year.  For more details go to this page:

Q.  What is the dress code?

A.  The recommended dress code for the first day of the conference is professional attire.  Business casual attire is appropriate for Tuesday.  Since meeting rooms tend to either be too hot or too cold, please consider bringing a sweater or jacket so that you are prepared for varying temperatures.

Q. When and where will the New and Related Services (NRS) Business meeting be held?

A.  The NRS business meeting is scheduled Monday, August 4, 2014, 12:30 p.m. in a Location TBA.
