The Oklahoma
Technology Education Association (OTEA) purpose is to promote Technology
Education as a vital part of the total education program; to provide a
medium for the exchange of ideas, methods, and information relating to
Technology Education teachers; to take an active interest in educational
activities at the local, state and national levels; to educate our members,
and the students and citizens of our communities and state by disseminating
among them information concerning subjects of general interest, thereby
creating a general appreciation for the values of Technology Education in
the educational program.
The officers of this association include
a President, the immediate Past President, a President-Elect, an Executive
Vice President, a Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, Metropolitan
Oklahoma City, Metropolitan Tulsa Vice Presidents, a Secretary, a Treasurer,
a Reporter, International Technology Education Association State
Representative, Oklahoma Vocational Association State Representative, and an
Oklahoma Vocational Administrative Council Representative. Also, a nine
member Board of Directors serves for a three year term.
