| I hope everyone enjoyed the 2004 Summer Conference in Tulsa. The conference evaluation forms indicate you all enjoyed the activities and interest sessions. Well, here we ho again, another exciting school year for Technology Education and the Technology Student Association (TSA). We will be providing additional information concerning TSA activities on our web-site. | ITEM #1--MEMBERSHIP AFFILIATION (Deadline: November 1,
2004)
All chapters in Oklahoma will affiliate using the Cap Membership Plan. The membership will be $125.00 for nationals and $25.00 for state for a total of $150.00 for the Oklahoma Cap Membership Plan. You will find the membership affiliation forms linked at the bottom of the page. Please send your completed affiliation forms and dues to our office on or before the November 1 deadline. Those chapters completing CAP membership after the November 1st deadline will be required to pay full price of $250.00. Fill out the chapter officer section and enclose a roster of all students attending your classes for the entire year. Please call me if you have questions about the Cap plan for your school(s). |

| ITEM # 2--CALENDAR OF TE/TSA ACTIVITIES
Check the TSA web-site for an updated calendar listing most of the activities for the 2004-2005 year. Have your local TSA officers post all the information enclosed on your bulletin board to keep TSA members informed of monthly activities. State Conference dates: (April 5-7, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Also, inform your principal and place these dates on the school calendar early to avoid future conflicts. |

| ITEM # 3--FALL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE/DEGREE TESTING
The Twenty-Seventh Annual Oklahoma TSA Fall Leadership Conferences will be held on the following dates and locations: October 6th, 2004 Southwestern Oklahoma State Univ.,
Weatherford
October 28, 2004 Northeastern Oklahoma State Univ.,
Tahlequah As we have stated in the past, these conferences have proven to be some of the most exciting and motivational meetings of the year. Although these conferences are designed to address the needs of your officers, if you have additional students you feel could benefit from the activities, it is permissible to bring them (Advisor's discretion). The Fall Leadership Conference booklet with the Degree Test enclosed is posted on the web. We have enclosed the Answer Key from your information. As an advisor, you can use any method for evaluating and awarding the degrees to your students. Please encourage your students to get involved in this very prestigious program. Congressional, Senatorial, and Presidential Degree exams will be administered at the local school. You, as advisor, will grade the exam and return the names of those who pass to the Oklahoma TSA office with your FLC registration. Congressional Degree recipients will be recognized at the FLC conferences and receive their pins. Congressional, Senatorial Degree tests and answer keys are enclosed for your use. |
