Projects and Unique Attributes

Canadian Valley Technology Center (CVTC) has provided high-tech educational opportunities for adults, high school students, small businesses and large corporations since 1970. CVTC serves most of Canadian and Grady counties in central Oklahoma. The school district has main campuses in Chickasha, El Reno and south of Yukon.

Canadian Valley features more than two dozen full-time career offerings, short-term adult and continuing education classes and specialized corporate training. The school also features fully networked computer labs and classroom space to meet all organization and company needs.

CV Tech offers a variety of programs and services to meet the unique needs of the population within its district. Programs include Project Connect, KEYS Center, Academic Center, Special Needs Services, Interactive Educational Television (IETV), and flexible industrial training. The El Reno campus also offers Wind Energy Technician training, in which wind technicians are trained to service wind farms statewide.

Secondary students who live in CV Tech's school district and attend a public, private, parochial or charter school, or are home-schooled are eligible to attend tuition-free. Tuition is also free for adults under age 24 who reside within the district.

Business and Industry Services provides an array of customized training for small businesses and large companies throughout Canadian Valley’s 1,300 square-mile district.

Project SEARCH launched in fall 2014 at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon after spinning off from a similar program at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. Students with disabilities get assistance transitioning from school to employment by undergoing job rotations in admissions, ICU, environmental services and more.

Reconstruction is underway at the El Reno Campus, which was destroyed by a May 31, 2013, tornado. The campus is expected to re-open in August 2016.
