Projects and Unique Attributes
In keeping with a commitment to accommodate the district's growth and needs for programs and services, Francis Tuttle finalized plans and began work on the development of the Business Innovation Center. Located at the intersection of I-35 and Covell in Edmond's Cross Timbers complex, the Center will house, among other programs, the Center for Municipal Excellence and a business incubator. Named an Innovator of the Year finalist, the CME is a joint effort between the City of Edmond and Francis Tuttle that provides top-tier training for Oklahoma municipalities' public works departments.
Francis Tuttle has identified the Pathway to Excellence as a strategic initiative that continues efforts to ensure that students are both career and college-ready. In support of the identified goal of continuous school improvement, Francis Tuttle assesses academic gains for students. The gain for high school students, as measured by the ACT-PLAN tool, was 5.3%, surpassing a district goal of a 3% improvement. Additional progress related to the initiative was evidenced by Francis Tuttle students earning more than 6,500 hours of college credit while enrolled in full-time training programs.
