Projects and Unique Attributions

Red River Technology Center (RRTC) currently offers 13 career pathways and two Academies to adult and high school residents of our 12 sending school districts.

In August 2010, RRTC opened the Pre-Engineering Academy to our sending school juniors. The Pre-Engineering Academy joins the already successful Biomedical Science Academy, now in its third year. Both academies are based on Project Lead the Way curriculum and are open only to high school students.

RRTC's Business and Industry Services Center works with local businesses to create new and innovative training activities and offers training designed to fit the needs of local business and industry.

RRTC is looking forward to the opening of a new Health Careers building in Fall 2011. The new building, which is currently under construction, will house the Health Careers Certification and Practical Nursing pathways. It will also feature a seminar room that can be utilized for presentations, such as the yearly RRTC Student Awards Assemblies.

District Population and Partner Schools

District population is 52,600 based on 2000 census data. School districts served include Bray-Doyle, Central, Comanche, Duncan, Empire, Grandview, Marlow, Ryan, Temple, Terral, Velma-Alma, Walters and Waurika.
