Accountability

Each Tech Prep Consortia will negotiate performance levels for the following criteria and be accountable for meeting those negotiated levels:

·         The number of secondary and postsecondary students served

·         The number and percentage of secondary Tech Prep students who:

·        Enroll in postsecondary education

·        Enroll in postsecondary education in the same field

·        Complete a state or industry-recognized certification or licensure

·        Complete courses that earn postsecondary credit

·        Enroll in remedial math, writing or reading courses upon entering postsecondary education

 ·         The number and percentage of postsecondary Tech Prep students who:

·        Are placed in a related field of employment within 12 months of graduation

·        Complete a state or industry recognized certification or licensure

Performance Driven Outcome System

Completion of the Performance Driven Outcome System, or PDOS, is required by each Tech Prep consortia. The collection of timely, accurate, and comparable data is of growing importance with the Tech Prep initiative and related state and local initiatives that link continued funding to demonstrated benefits and outcomes. The PDOS system will ensure that performance plans are in place and set specific, measurable outcomes for Tech Prep programs to achieve. Through annual performance reports, program review visits and ongoing technical assistance, ODCTE and local consortia coordinators will collectively provide detailed program and student outcomes information on consortia progress in meeting Tech Prep objectives. Information will be used to support ODCTE decisions on appropriation levels and reauthorization of programs. PDOS will document results and justify funding.
