The Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE) is
requesting applications for supplemental Tech Prep funding to raise CTE
student achievement and focus instructional strategies. Tech Prep Consortia
will be identifying career clusters and pathways, utilizing the framework of
knowledge and skills, and aligning courses to prepare students to be
successful in college and a technology rich work environment.
ELIGIBLE RECIPIENTS: Oklahoma Tech Prep Consortia
FUNDING AVAILABLE: Tech Prep Consortia may qualify for awards of $5,000 to $15,000 supplemental funding to be expended through June 30, 2007. The consortia considered for funding will only be those who submit an application that proposes a clearly defined vision for developing and implementing strategies to raise CTE student achievement and focus instructional strategies. The consortium must include documentation of a career cluster/pathway focus" aligned with a sequence of courses. Academic and technical courses should be included that will prepare students for seamless transition from high school, to technology center, to college degrees. Specific strategies to raise student achievement and focus instructional strategies must be included with benchmarks for measuring success.

BUDGET PERIOD: December 20, 2006, through June 30, 2007
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted beginning immediately and no later than closing time of 5:00 p.m., December 8, 2006, in the Innovative Initiatives and Services Office at the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. Faxed applications will not be honored.
