General Electronics Technician and Electronics Assembler Skills Standards and Competency Assessments -
The General Electronics Technician and Electronics Assembler Skills Standards and competency assessments maintained by the CareerTech Testing Center have recently been endorsed by Cameron Measurement Systems (http://www.c-a.m.com) as well as Halliburton (http://www.halliburton.com). The new standards will be on the website July 1, 2008.
Due to this endorsement, the numbers associated with these assessments will change on July 1, 2008 as follows -
44001 to 24001 - General Electronics Technician
44002 to 24002 - Electronics Assembler
Heavy Equipment Operator Skills Standards -
The Heavy Equipment Operator Skills Standards maintained by the CareerTech Testing Center have recently been aligned to the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Heavy Equipment Operator Level One standards. The new standards will be on the website July 1, 2008.
Due to this alignment, the number associated with this assessment will change on July 1, 2008 from 42325 to 32325.
National Health Assessment -
ODCTE lands partnership with National Consortium for Health Science Technology Education (NCHSTE).
The ODCTE has partnered with NCHSTE to provide the National Health Assessment through its online system. The test is currently under revision to reflect recent updates to the Health Science Foundation Skills Standards and Accountability Criteria (www.nchste.org) and will be available in March 2008. This test replaces ODCTE OT7801 Health Science Core, which will no longer be available.

New Test Numbers -
You may have noticed that ODCTE has replaced its traditional test numbers with a new, 5-digit numbering scheme. The new numbers will be used to denote both ODCTE tests and approved tests from other sources. These numbers will also be used when reporting certifications on follow-up reports for the 2007-08 school year. Please call us if you have questions regarding the new numbering system!

To order a hard copy test, contact Deborah Whitlow (Deborah_Whitlow@okcareertech.org). If you administer a paper-pencil version of our test, please enter the bubbled-in responses online. This will cut back on expenses as well as eliminate any turn-around time for getting results.
