Application Process to Renew T&I Provisional I Teacher Certification

For renewal of a T&I Provisional I Teacher Certification, each of the following is required:

  • FIRST RENEWAL:

    • Documentation of attendance at T&I New Teacher Academy (Under most circumstances this will be on file in the T&I Office.)

    • Documentation of completing NOCTI or approved substitute (Under most circumstances this will be on file in the T&I Office if it is the NOCTI. Approved substitutes will need to be submitted to the T&I Office. Electronic or paper copies are acceptable.)

    • Request your Superintendent or Designee to complete Verification of Employment

    • When all information has been received and processed, your application will be renewed.

    • All new applicants and renewals (whose last fee paid was only $10) must pay an initial $50 fee. There will be no fee for renewing a Provisional I for 4 consecutive years following payment of the initial $50 fee.

  • SUBSEQUENT RENEWALS:

  • Send official transcripts documenting completion of the required 6 credit hours to the T&I Office

  • Request your Superintendent or Designee to complete Verification of Employment

  • When all information has been received and processed, your application will be renewed.

  • All new applicants and renewals (whose last fee paid was only $10) must pay an initial $50 fee. There will be no fee for renewing a Provisional I for 4 consecutive years following payment of the initial $50 fee.
