**Job Skill Demonstration Contests

There are two separate Job Skill Demonstration contests held at the district, state and national levels. They are referred to as Job Skill Demonstration "A" and Job Skill Demonstration "B".

Since Job Skill demonstration is a leadership contest, a SkillsUSA member can compete in a skill contest also.

  • Register students for Job Skill Demonstration A if they are enrolled in a program where there is an existing national contest. See SkillsUSA Championship Technical Standards, Revised 1998 for existing national contests.
  • Register students for Job Skill Demonstration B if there is no existing national contest. These areas include (but are not limited to) the following programs: Instrument Repair, Horticulture, Truck Driver, Upholster, Industrial Chemistry, Floral Design or ICE. NOTE: An ICE student trained in cosmetology, dental assisting, etc., must enter the Job Skill Demonstration A.
