CARPENTRYThis program offers training which will qualify the students to enter the building
trade upon completion. Training includes use of equipment, forming, blueprint reading,
selecting residential and commercial sites, foundation layout, framing, roofing, training
in related fields such as selection of types of materials, procedures of construction,
knowledge of related trades, and needs of the consumer. Instruction is given in cutting
and placing interior and exterior covering, employing a variety of materials and patterns.
Students become proficient in the use of power equipment to ensure success as a craftsman
in the carpentry trade. Seventy-five percent of allotted time is devoted to lab or
hands-on shop experience. Program Locations:
