2012 Legislative Session Summary

This legislative session, several CareerTech-requested bills were successfully received and passed through the legislative process.


Allows technology center building funds to be used for expanded purposes.


Allows local technology center boards to set policy regarding General Fund expenditures for student certification/credential exams.


Adds to the data to be added to Oklahoma School Testing Program (A-F Grading). Data may include AP courses taught at technology centers or cooperative college alliance credit courses.


Allows individuals who have completed a master’s degree in education administration or similar coursework between July 1, 2005, and July 1, 2012, to be eligible for a superintendent certification upon successful pass of designated exams.
