Assistant Campus Director

McAlester Campus

Primary Function: 

The successful candidate will be an instructional leader for full-time, part-time, business and industry and adult and career development programs.  He/She will be an ardent advocate for CareerTech, have excellent verbal/written skills and have experience motivating others to implement school improvement strategies.  The Assistant Director will assist the Director with all operations of the campus, including supervision of staff and faculty, developing strategies to improve services to students, clients, businesses and industries and other duties as assigned.  The Assistant Director will be accountable for achieving the district goals by: (1) creating/maintaining a culture of professional excellence, (2) implementing strategies to meet or exceed gold star school standards, program success measures, campus success measures and ODCTE  funding measures for full-time, short-term and BIS programs. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Masters degree or higher, a Secondary Principal Certificate and qualify for a Technology Center Administrator’s Credential.  A minimum of Five (5) years of successful experience teaching, working as a Tech Center Director/Asst. Director or Secondary School Principal/Asst. Principal and/or supervision of ODCTE approved program is required.  Career Readiness Certification is preferred.  Travel and flexible work schedule is required.

                                               Demonstration of skills (oral, written & presentation) will be required.

Starting Date:                         October 15, 2014  (12-month position)

Salary:                                    Based on KTC Salary Schedule.  New employee will be employed

initially on a Temporary Contract.  (School Laws of Oklahoma 70-6-101.23)
